John Thrasher

Mr. Thrasher is the Managing Partner and founder of Management Resources Group (MRG). He brings to MRG a distinguished career of over 30 years of experience in profit enhancement, growth management, mergers & acquisitions, strategic planning and turnarounds. His experience extends from startups to Fortune 500 companies and over a diverse range of industries including but not limited to: Oil& gas production & transportation, mineral extraction, chemicals, construction, distribution, e-business, electronic security, emerging technologies, environmental consulting services, financial services, government, health care, insurance, manufacturing, retail & entertainment and professional services.

Mr. Thrasher is a C-level business problem-solver and value-builder. He is able to parachute into businesses and drive rapid improvement by quickly applying well-honed strategic and general management knowledge to rapidly identify the highest-impact issues and opportunities, then create straightforward, achievable initiatives leading to dramatic gains in revenue, cash flow and enterprise value. He is able to work effectively with incumbent management teams and to also step in and provide hands-on leadership. He can drive transformational change in turnarounds, under-performers and early-stage companies with high growth potential.

He has served as CEO, COO or EVP for several middle market companies and successfully guided them to a liquidity event. He previously worked in responsible positions for three Fortune 500 companies- DuPont, Ford Motor Company and Atlantic Richfield.

Mr. Thrasher has served as an adjunct professor at UCLA Extension and CSUN teaching classes on entrepreneurial studies for the past eight years. He has been a guest speaker at the Cal Tech MIT Enterprise Forum.

He also serves as Chairman for two Business Forum networking groups-downtown Los Angeles and Century City. Business Forums International is an international organization of results oriented communities of A-list business professionals and executives who are serious about forging business relationships through peer-to-peer collaboration and through access to a unique suite of proprietary tools that deliver long-lasting business prospecting results.

Education: Mr. Thrasher attended Michigan State University and received a B.A. in Financial Administration and a Juris Doctor. He is also a Certified Financial Planner.
